Andy And Aaron’s Desk Wins Awards At The Premiere Western Artist Art Show Held In Cody, Wyoming.

Andy and Aaron’s entry in the Cody High Style Western Art show this year has been their most ambitious yet. An 8 ft. long executive desk with a marble top and hidden bar. Unloading the piece took 8 guys, most of who were Andy’s artist friends that have also participated in the show for the past 8 years. The desk got lots of attention; it features 3 types of Exotic hardwood, a highly patterned marble top, intricately inlayed marble panels, handmade turquoise handles, and a mini bar.

This remote controlled Mini Bar was the inspiration for the double meaning name “Raising the Bar” that Aaron’s wife, Sarah thought of. Andy said “this desk has been one of our most challenging pieces ever”, because of the engineering of incorporating the Auton lift in the bar and painstakingly book-matching all the wood and marble.

The second evening of the show was the “gag” awards ceremony where they won the “What Were You Thinking?!” award. Andy was presented with a large cinder block with a handle. It was affectionately inscribed, and had an additional side warning…HEAVY GET HELP TO LIFT!! Upon receiving the award the announcer suggested a project for next year…Andy, he said…"2 words...Jewelry Box” This of course drew a big laugh!
Winning the “Peoples Choice” award was a big compliment, since this is voted on by all the visitors to the show throughout the 3 days of exhibition.
