"Phoenix" |
|---|
Aaron set out to make a sculpture for an entry way. He had the piece of juniper but it sat on his work table for three days while he began to conceptualize where to begin. He began to carve into the wood with his mind until he felt comfortable to begin the sculpture. From there he slowly began to carve into the piece paying close attention to what the wood was doing but not forgetting his pre-conceptualizations.The Phoenix is made from Alligator Juniper and African Mahogany. It is inlayed with White Buffalo stone, turquoise, and coral. |

Andy occasionally has the opportunity to collaborate with other artists. Joining with glass artist Santiago Rivera, they created several amazing pieces. This dry sink is the last of the series. The panels are fused glass, a technique that Santiago has perfected. In the top, is a relief carving by Andy of a wild horse with an eagle in his mane. There is inlayed turquoise on counter, a carved alabaster bowl and cast iron accents. |
